Metaplastiks is a non-generative NFT project based on the fractal and colorful characteristics of recycled plastic. The different compositions arise from geometry and in the inspiration warm shades. Most of the pieces seek to generate visual compositions that encompass movement, colors and symmetry.

Plastic waste in cities is a major environmental issue. It not only pollutes the land and water, but it also harms wildlife and can have negative impacts on human health. The production and consumption of plastic has increased significantly in recent years, and as a result, plastic waste has become a common sight in our cities.

At WLAB we are trying our best to contribute to a cleaner Arugam Bay and prolong the life of plastic. We also believe not all plastic is bad. It is an awesome material and has great properties but we seriously need to reconsider our consumption of single use plastics and redesign the value chain. With our waste collection alone it is extremely difficult to break even since the value of the raw material waste is so low.
