Andrea Bertoni’s sensual paintings in watercolor, pencil, varnish and ink achieve a type of dreamy, abstract impressionism on canvas. Andrea uses a particular mixed technique that was developed in her own way . The artist uses ink and varnish achieving a peculiar translucent effect. This technique requires special protection after completion. The technique originally used, when she visited the atelier of Alberto Montoreano in Buenos Aires in 1984, are watercolor pencils on paper, a very special and personal technique too. Andrea Bertoni has ventured in experimenting with larger formats, last decade, using the technique of Chinese ink and varnish.
