Mundorep leverages the recovered plastic material to transform it into useful and sustainable products. Therefore, it works closely with allied collection centers to recover the highest possible amount of low-density and high-density polyethylene plastic bags, as well as stretch films. At the collection centers, the bags are prepared and categorized by plastic type to deliver optimal plastic material. Mundorep stores the plastic before turning it into pellets that allow them to offer high-quality plastic resin. Approximately 40% of Mundorep's resin production is used to manufacture products like 100% recycled plastic construction materials and plastic bags for garbage or recycling. The remaining 60% of resin is sold in Central America to produce items such as recycling bags, furniture, brooms, chairs, electrical connector boxes, and automotive parts.
