Fair prices for recovered plastic suppliers: Mundorep primarily sources its raw material from over 100 small collection centers that receive fair prices for their deliveries. Most of these centers are led by single mothers and female heads of households. Furthermore, through partnerships with municipalities and medium to large collection centers, the company directly benefits over 1,000 individuals involved in plastic bag management and collection, contributing to social inclusion and job creation. The case of Evelyn Porras: 30 tons of plastic bags monthly for recycling with Mundorep Twenty-three years ago, Evelyn Porras, a single mother and owner of Recicladora El Éxito, started collecting waste as a means of livelihood. It was in 2020 when she learned about Mundorep, a company that gave her the opportunity to incorporate plastic bags into her recovery efforts. Today, Evelyn provides employment to 19 people, including 13 at-risk women, who process over 30 tons of plastic bags per month with Mundorep. Like Evelyn, other social entrepreneurs like her have become agents of change, inspiring the adoption of sustainable practices and promoting the circular economy for current and future generations.
